Ending the Year With Few Hats

This is probably the last post of the year and decade. I decided to make a post with the hats I bought over the last few months.

Another Cubs Jersey

So this might be the last jersey I buy this year/decade. How appropriate I end the year with this.

After Spring Training was done this year, I went to the MLB Auction website to look for this jersey. It didn't show up and I would look on occasion. A few months before the season ended, I contacted the Chicago Cubs and was directed to a website that didn't help me at the time. Last week, I decided again to contact the Cubs and to my surprise they had one left. So I got it...

Happy Thankgiving / MeiGray Sale

Happy Thanksgiving everyone, I will have things post next week. I ordered a jersey from the Chicago Cubs. Yay!

Da Bears

I went to Burlington Coat Factory yesterday. They had a lot of stuff on sale as they ramp up for the holidays. I went through the active wear section and I found something I wanted.

New Hoodies

I'll apologize again for not posting anything. I haven't had anything interesting to post and I've been busy with other things. I have a couple of additions to my collection.

Chargers Retro Sale

I haven't been to a Chargers game since they moved. I've only bought a couple of Chargers items from Burlington since the move. I went to Training Camp a couple of years ago because I wanted old jerseys because at the end of the day, I collect jerseys from all teams. When I went two years ago, I was disappointed. This year was a complete success.

Chargers Training Camp Sale (Thurs 15th/Fri 16th)

When the Training Camp schedules were released, I checked to see what the Rams and Chargers were doing. The last two years, they didn't have any special sales or old jerseys. This year the Chargers are selling old jerseys and I'm going. I'm not really a fan of them since the move but I like jerseys and hopefully they have a few powdered blue jerseys on sale.

The Montreal Expos Were Back For One Night Only

On July 8th, the Washington Nationals donned throwback Montreal Expos uniforms. The Expos were founded about fifty years ago and relocated to Washington in 2005. This is first time the Nationals have worn Expos uniforms. The Nationals put them up for auction. As of right now, Jonny Venters uniform is the least expensive at $275. It's a little bit too pricey for me and I'm sure it will clear over $300. You can view them here.

I'm watching the Dodgers/Rockies game right now and they're selling backpacks full of Rockies goodies for charity. The Rockies have a website where you can buy one online. Link's here.

 

Record Breaking Babe Ruth Jersey

Recently a Babe Ruth jersey from 1928-1930 was sold for $5.6 million! It's the most expensive piece of sports memorabilia in history. 

I hope it's authentic and not a fake.

Maybe I should buy an authentic Mike Trout jersey. It might be worth a lot someday.

Fiesta Angels 2019

Saturday June 8th was Fiesta Angels at Angels Stadium. Prior to the Angels taking the field against the Seattle Mariners, the team was holding an event where you could grab a bite to eat, win prizes from vendors, and buy merchandise.

I'm sorry for not updating this blog. The truth is I don't have much to post but soon I will. The Angels the last few years have held Fiesta Angels the Saturday before Mother's Day. The Angels were away during Mother's Day, so they didn't have at that time.

I got an e-mail that stated they are going to hold it Saturday June 8th. The funny thing is I bought a ticket before they announced it. Anyway, it is open to the public as it is being held in the parking lot at Angels Stadium.

Today is the biggest day of the year for me. It's the biggest day for this blog. It all goes downhill from here (unless I go to Angels Moving Day, Dodgers FanFest, or the Ducks End of Season sale.) This day isn't about hats, shirts, or jerseys. It's about everything.
