Two New Padres Shirts In Time For The Playoffs

 I went to Burlington Coat Factory about three weeks ago and found nothing I liked. I figured with the economy being what it is and supply chains being strained, this would be the new normal. I ended up going there today and actually found a few good shirts and a jersey.

Chargers Rookie Rally

First off, congratulations to the Chicago Cubs for winning the World Series. I didn't think it would ever happen. I don't own any Cubs gear but I probably get something that says World Series Champs on it. Speaking of which, they've sold a lot of merchandise because of winning the World Series.

I bought Chargers Season Tickets before preseason and I got to do something cool cause of it.

Padres/Majestic Athletic/NFL Jerseys

 I went to Ross a couple weeks ago and bought this Nike Padres Dri Fit shirt. This is the undershirt that the players wear on the field.  It was $15 and it retailed for $25.

So it came to this..

I have never owned season tickets for any team. My dad never believed in it and I sort of agreed with it. You're paying for tickets up front, for games you probably won't attend.

After last season, when the Chargers committed to staying in San Diego, I thought long and hard about getting season tickets. If 2016 is the last season in San Diego, I could tell people that I was season ticket holder before they moved.

I waited till a week before the first preseason games to start to reach out to the team. I thought I could negotiate with the team based on the fact that there were plenty of available season ticket seats available.

Eagles Jersey Find

A couple of days ago I went to Burlington Coat Factory to look for any Chargers shirts they might have in stock. Nothing really impressed me but I did find this:

Chargers Training Camp or ESPN NFL 2K5 Memories

I went to San Diego Chargers Training Camp on Sunday because they have a yard sale during it. I have been to several Chargers' games but had never been to their practice facility. So I decided to go for the adventure of it and maybe it would give me something to post about.

Good news, I'm updating several old posts with new pics and I'll be done next week. I didn't like how some of them came out. I'm still working on a logo. 

I don't have many green jerseys. I posted about the green Dodgers Spring Training jersey I bought a couple of years ago.

I own a couple New York Jets jerseys.

Chick's Sporting Goods was a California regional retail store. They were going out of business and I bought this for $50 and I regret it.

Okay I wanted a Brett Favre jersey and they didn't have his Packers jersey. The number is heat pressed on the material and the four on the back is starting to fade.

 This is a Tim Tebow Nike Green Limited Jersey that I bought on clearance from NFL Shop. I paid less than $50 for it. I like it because it looks authentic, the numbers aren't heat pressed. and I thought Tebow was a serviceable quarterback.

This is a Jets knitted cap that I bought from Ross awhile ago. It has a black exterior with Jets logo sewn on it. I would have made it all green.

Last but not least.

My dad bought me this Tebow McFarlane figure. I know what your thinking. "McFarlane made a Tebow Jets figure?" "Yes, they did.

Retail Store Finds

Bed, Bath, & Beyond sells a lot of licensed items for a place known for cookware, bedding, and other odds and ends. During football season, they sell throws with different NFL team logos. With the Rams moving to Los Angeles, I knew this would be my last year to purchase a St. Louis Rams throw.

Super Bowl 50

I didn't buy this. It was gift. Happy Super Bowl Sunday everyone.

Chargers Finds

Just a quick update for this week. I went to Ross today and found these two items. Lucky for me, they on clearance.

These are two car mats with the Chargers logo on them. They are made of heavy, durable rubber. I only paid $14 for them. They were normally $20 at Ross. The tag said that the retail value for them is $35 dollars. I will put these to good use and hopefully the logo doesn't wear out.

This is an Antonio Gates Fathead that I paid $5.50 for. Gates has the all time record for receiving touchdowns for Chargers among his many records. He's one of my favorite players. This retails normally for $14.

Merry Charger Christmas

Sorry for the lack of updates. I have been sick and busy these last few weeks. Before I start with what I got for Christmas, shop.mlb.com is having a clearance sale right now.
