New Year, Another Padres Jacket

 Happy New Year. I am going to try to post something every week.

It's been a while since I went to Ross. They had a few Lakers items and a few Padres jackets. Since it's still winter, I thought why not buy one.

Opening Day 2021

 Sorry about the lack of updates. There's been a lot going on in my life and I think a lot has changed for many people. The good news is that things are starting to be better for me.

It's been a year since I've been to Ross and think of all the stuff I could have bought and posted on here. I was in the area and decided to go in. 

Rams

I have a handful of shirts and jerseys that I can write about. I bought this Los Angeles Rams shirt about a month ago and wasn't going to do a post on it but the Rams changed their logo last week. There's been a lot of backlash against it.

Championship Shirts

On a serious note before I begin, because of the virus going around, I'm not working as much, therefore not bring anymore income. My current job involves me working events and a lot of events at my job have been postponed. Also, I'm not going to go Burlington, Ross, or anywhere else to keep my contact with people to a minimum. I think I still have a few left in my closet to write about.

I never dreamed I would live in a world were store shelves would be bare, the sports world would stop, and Disneyland would shut down. These are some strange times. 

Ending the Year With Few Hats

This is probably the last post of the year and decade. I decided to make a post with the hats I bought over the last few months.

Bird's the Word

Sorry about the lack of posts. I've haven't had really anything interesting to post in awhile. What I'm planning to do is have new feature call Friday Finds where I show interesting items that are up for auction online. Minor League Baseball always has great jerseys listed. I just won another auction and I'll be receiving it by next week. 

This post isn't about a minor league team...well with the way they've been playing, they might be a minor league team.

Happy Shirsey Day

I'm declaring August 2nd Shirsey Day. Since everything has a day except for shirseys, it deserves one. If you're not exactly sure what one is, Urban Dictionary has the definition:

 one of those T-shirts that looks like a jersey. shirt and jersey combined.

I don't own a lot of them but I've started to accumulate them. 

Let's begin.

Blake Griffin was one of my favorite Clippers and when he was traded, I thought I could snag a jersey with his name on it. Burlington had those jerseys with the iron numbers and I don't like those. I got a shirsey instead and it looks pretty sharp.

 Apologies for the winkles because I put it down in my closet in a corner and forgot about it for a couple of months. I paid $6 for a shirsey that originally was $32.

While the Dodgers were making their run to the World Series last year, Burlington had many Dodgers shirseys on sale. They had Belinger, Puig, Turner, and this one:

Yu Darvish was traded from the Texas Rangers to the Dodgers for their playoff push. He pitched in Game 7 of the 2017 World Series and it didn't go so well. The Dodgers didn't resign him during the off season and he signed with the Cubs. Currently he's on the DL and A-Rod doesn't approve of the way he's rehabbing.

Anyway, it took many months for this shirsey to go on clearance. I paid $9 for a shirsey that Burlington was selling for $17. This goes for $18 on MLB.com 

Let's see we covered basketball and baseball; football is next.

Teddy Bridgewater played for the Minnesota Vikings for three seasons. In what would have been his third season, he suffered a gruesome knee injury that was so serious he almost lost his leg. He was able to recover and play the following season for the Vikings. Currently he's on the New York Jets. I like the shirsey more than the preceding ones because it looks like a jersey. The material on it is very nice. I paid $5 at Ross for this and I can't find the original price online but I'm sure it was at least $30.

More Angels Merchandise

Small Mike Zagurski update: he has an infinite ERA with the Brewers. He didn't have a good outing in his first appearance and he's still with team. Also, the Brewers and every team in MLB is wearing their patriotic jerseys, which means I know which jersey I'm going to get next.

Columbus Crew Jersey

The Columbus Crew were one of the original MLS teams. Their current owner wants to move the team to Austin, Texas. As someone who lost their team to a different city, I know how much it hurts. I'm against it because I know there are a lot of Crew supporters in Columbus.

 I went to Ross a few days ago and they had a lot of these Padres Tumblers on a shelf. I picked one up as a early Christmas present.

Padres Sunday Cap

Every Sunday home game, the Padres honor a branch of the military and first responders. I bought an alternate green jersey during last year's FanFest, which they used to wear on Sundays during previous season.  I didn't buy a matching cap for it. This year they weren't on sale. I went to Ross a couple of days ago:

New York Yankees Shirt

So I didn't buy into the T-Shirt Club. It was a lot of money to put down at once for a product that I don't know the quality of. If I go to Padres FanFest this year, I can get a lot of stuff for cheap and less money than those packages.
